Trends to Try in 2017
New York Fashion Week has had us excited since September, and it’s finally time to start rolling out our favorite trends! Here’s what to look for in 2017:
Floral print is pretty much a constant trend. In 2016, we saw it give a hint of femininity to otherwise unisex pieces such as bombers and joggers. This season, we’re seeing it come back to rock feminine pieces in full force – maxi dresses, ruffled sleeves, and the like.
It seems like the theme for 2017 is going to be bold and beautiful. This year, leave the pinstripes in the past and look for pieces with ultra-wide stripes to make a statement.
Embroidery is not just for your grandmother’s throw pillows anymore. This year expect it to be one of denim’s hottest trends. Whether you’re into florals, quirky patch or intriquit designs, embroidery adds a little something extra to the denim styles you already love.
Laced up clothing is a ultra-chic combination of edgy and feminine. We love the way laced up jeans look with any outfit, but laced accents look good on almost anything – from wallets to tops.
Khaki & Blue
These are the colors to keep an eye on this coming season. Khaki is a traditionally modest color, but we love the way it helps any seem polished and well put-together. Look for utilitarian pieces that are functional and fashionable.
Meanwhile, all shades of blue are welcome this year. Look for pieces that combine the classic color with another trend – like stripes or florals.
