Five 3-Ingredient Appetizers to Make For Your Next Get-Together
ppetizers are easily one of the best parts of any get-together, and not just for the guests – for the hostess, too! Rolling out a batch of yummy starters gives you a little extra time to finish things up in the kitchen, while keeping hungry guests happy.
Here are some of our favorite no-stress recipes that require just a few ingredients.
Sweet + Salty Dates
Nothing is better than the combination of sweet and salty. Sweet dates combine with salty prosciutto to make this a real treat. Simply remove the pits from the dates. Then stuff each date with gorgonzola cheese. If gorgonzola is not your thing, you can also use goat cheese! Then wrap each date in a small slice of the prosciutto and secure with a toothpick. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes! Serve with balsamic vinegar.
The traditionally fried starter gets a makeover with this simple three-ingredient recipe.
Simply de-stem and de-seed the jalapenos. Cut them in half (long ways). In the empty cavity, spread your preference of flavored (like scallion) or regular cream cheese. Roast at 450 degrees F for about ten minutes, or until the cheese has a light golden hue.
5-Minute Crab Dip
This is a simple, and simply delicious recipe. You’ll need one package of imitation crab meat (about 14 to 16 oz.), one cup of mayonnaise, and two tablespoons of Old Bay season. Combine all ingredients and serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or halved rolles.
Baked Goat Cheese
Goat cheese has a unique flavor that works across a span of cultures. To make one version of a tasty dip, press a room-temperature log of goat cheese into a small baking pan. It should fit the shape of the pan, and you’ll need to leave about a one-inch space around the edges. Cover the cheese with a can of marinara sauce, and top with a handful of fresh, roughly chopped basil. Let it cook at 375 degrees F for about twenty minutes. Serve with fresh slice of zucchini, garlic bread, or even over small portions of pasta.
